ServicesTree Trimming and Removal
Tree Trimming and Removal in Kissimmee
We prune the trees around your home so they stay strong, balanced and clear of the roof, and we take a tree down only when keeping it no longer makes sense. Every job starts with a free walkthrough where we look at each tree with you.

Most trees need care, not removal
A well-kept oak or magnolia can shade your home for decades. What usually shortens that life is neglect: crossing limbs that rub through bark, heavy ends that split in a storm, deadwood that lets decay move into the trunk. Trimming every few years deals with those problems while they are still small and cheap to fix.
When a tree is dying, leaning toward the house or growing in a spot it will never fit, removal is the honest answer. We tell you which situation you are in, show you what we saw and explain why.
We are a family-owned, licensed business that has been caring for trees since 2018, and we would rather keep a good tree standing for another twenty years than sell you a removal you do not need.
What our tree work covers
Structural pruning
We take out limbs that grow into one another or join the trunk at a weak, narrow angle, leaving a sound framework to hold up the crown. Cuts are made just outside the branch collar, which lets the wound close over instead of rotting back into the trunk.
Canopy thinning for wind
Selective thinning lets air move through the crown rather than catching it like a sail. We never strip the inside of a tree bare, which leaves it weaker than before.
Clearance over roof and walkways
We lift low limbs over driveways, lanais and paths, and cut back branches touching the roof or screen enclosure, where they scrape and drop debris.
Deadwood removal
Dead limbs come out before they fall on their own. Where heavy Spanish moss is shading out interior growth, we thin that as well.
Full tree removal
Removal near a house, fence or pool is done piece by piece, with each section tied off and eased to the ground on ropes rather than dropped. All wood and brush leave with us. If you want the stump gone too, our stump grinding service finishes the job.
Cleanup
Branches, leaves and chips are raked and blown off the lawn, beds and hardscape before we leave.
Signs a tree needs attention
Bare or dead limbs
A branch that stays leafless while the rest of the tree is green is dead wood. It turns brittle and can drop without warning.
Cracks, cavities or fungus
Mushrooms at the base, shelf fungus on the trunk or a split between two main stems point to decay or a weak union. Laurel oaks in particular tend to hollow out as they age.
A lean that is new or getting worse
Plenty of trees grow at an angle their whole lives and stay sound. Trouble shows when the angle appears after a storm, often with soil heaved up on the far side of the trunk, which can mean the roots have let go.
Limbs on the roof
Branches resting on the roof wear through shingles and give pests an easy path onto your home. They should be cut back before they do more damage.
Years without pruning
If the canopy has not been thinned in several years, it is worth having it looked at in late winter or spring, ahead of the June start of hurricane season.
How a tree job runs
- 1
Free walkthrough
We walk the property with you, look at each tree you are concerned about and point out anything else we notice. You hear our recommendation in plain terms, including when the right answer is to leave a tree alone.
- 2
Written estimate and permits
Your estimate comes on paper, naming every tree with the planned pruning or removal beside it. For removals, we check whether a permit is required for that tree and pull it when one is.
- 3
The work day
We arrive at the agreed time, lay ground protection where equipment crosses the lawn and keep debris out of your beds. Climbers bring limbs down in controlled pieces, never letting them crash onto plants or hardscape.
- 4
Cleanup and final look
Brush is chipped and hauled, the yard is raked and blown, and we walk the finished work with you before we pack up.
What affects the price of tree work
We price tree work per job once we have seen the trees, since height alone says little about how much climbing and rigging one will need. Your written estimate breaks the cost down tree by tree, so you can handle the most urgent work now and plan the rest for later.
- Size and species
- A tall live oak with a wide crown takes far more climbing time than a young crape myrtle. Dense hardwoods also take longer to cut and chip.
- Access and what sits below
- A tree in an open yard can sometimes be felled in one piece. One leaning over a pool cage, fence or roof has to come down in rigged sections, which adds time and crew.
- Condition of the wood
- Decayed or storm-damaged wood is unpredictable to climb and cut, so it calls for slower, more careful rigging.
- Debris and stump
- Hauling all wood away costs more than leaving cut rounds for firewood. Stump grinding appears as its own line if you want it.
- Permits
- Where a removal needs a permit, the time to apply is built into your estimate so it does not show up later.
Questions about tree trimming and removal
Something not covered here? (407) 972-1906
How often do my trees need trimming?
For a mature shade tree, a pruning visit every two or three years is usually enough. Young trees respond best to light shaping more often while they are small, which sets up a strong framework and avoids large cuts down the road. We can put your trees on a schedule so none of them go too long.
Will heavy trimming make my tree safer in a hurricane?
Not if it is overdone. Topping a tree or stripping out its inner growth leaves it weaker and triggers fast, poorly attached sprouts. Proper thinning removes weak and dead wood while keeping the leaves the tree needs, and that is what helps it hold up in high wind.
Do I need a permit to remove a tree in Kissimmee?
Sometimes. It depends on the tree, its size and where your property sits, since city and county rules differ. We check before any removal and handle the permit when one is needed.
Can you look at my palms on the same visit?
Yes. Palms are pruned very differently from broadleaf trees, and we cover that work on our palm tree pruning and removal page. We are glad to look at both during one walkthrough.
Is financing available for larger tree projects?
Yes. Bigger jobs can be paid over time, with amounts as high as $100,000 and terms running anywhere from 2 to 12 years. Paying the balance off early carries no penalty. That helps when several large removals need to happen at once.
When is the best time of year for trimming?
Late winter through spring suits most shade trees, before the flush of new growth and before storm season. Dead or hazardous limbs can come out any time of year.
